Making Biodiesel at Home

While you would think that it may be quite hard to make biodiesel, you would be wrong. It's so easy that it can be done right from the comfort of your own home and what's even better is that the end product is often better than what is made by the commercial fuel companies.

So you might ask 'What are they Advantages of Biofuel?'

  • Homemade diesel tends to have better lubricating properties which is great for your diesel motor as it will make the engine not only run smoother but also it will aid in it lasting longer.

  • Homemade biofuel will run cleaner which results in less carbon emissions and soot and in todays "green" world this is very important.

  • You can use cooking oils from restaurants and take away outlets that will normally be poured down the drain and turn it into biofuel , again helping both your pocket and the planet.

  • Carbon footprints are big in today's world and you will be helping reduce not only yours but those around you who haven't grasped the concept yet that they too can help our enviroment.

There are 3 different substances that you can use to run your diesel engine on with biofuel, these are animal fats, vegetable oils and both. It some cases you can even use used oils.
